Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) is a process that uniquely combines pressure and temperature to produce materials and parts with substantially better properties than other methods. The pressure medium is an inert gas, normaly Argon. (read more)

Hot Isostatic Processing (HIP) involves the application of high pressure and temperatures through the medium of a pressurizing gas, such as Argon or Nitrogen, to remove internal porosity and voids, thus increasing density and upgrading properties. (read more)

Isostatic presses are available for powder metallurgy and other applications in a variety of sizes and pressure ratings. Systems feature the compaction chamber, pressurizing pump, fluid reservoir, piping and a convenient steel console. Fully automated systems are also available. (read more)

Cold Isostatic Pressing (CIP) is a method of compacting powders into green bodies and near-net shaped in a pressure vessel. The powder, which can be metallic, ceramic or graphite, is sealed in a flexible mold shaped like the end product. High pressure is used up to 600 MPa (6,000 bar/87,000 psi) having water as pressure medium. (read more)

AVS is one of the few vacuum furnace hot press manufacturer to design and fabricate their own press frames and vacuum chambers.
