Industrial Cleaning Services

Industrial cleaning services remove sludge and contaminants; deplug or clean filters; deblind screens or strainers; scour tanks or vessels; and perform biocide applications. They may also condition, clean and treat fuel, oil or other stored media. Industrial cleaning services are used in many industries including aerospace, chemical and material processing, electronics, filters and filtration equipment, pharmaceutical, and many more.

There are many types of industrial cleaning services including abrasive blasting, buffing and polishing, maintenance, mass finishing, oxygen cleaning, passivation, plasma etching or cleaning, ultrasonic cleaning, and many more. 

Abrasive blasting uses power spraying or a tumble chamber to remove all of a metal’s visible rust and contaminates. This type of industrial cleaning service leaves the metal white or gray in appearance. Buffing and polishing is another type of industrial cleaning services, which smoothes the surface of the metal.

Maintenance, mass finishing, and oxygen industrial cleaning services are also available. Maintenance cleaning involves routine cleaning, finishing, patching, fixing, or repairing components or facilities. Mass finishing industrial cleaning services are used in the bulk processing of parts. This type of cleaning service often uses a tumbler, disc, drum, or vibratory equipment along with abrasive media. The movement of the media against the parts imparts the desired finish. Oxygen cleaning services removes combustible oils, greases, or other materials that could cause a fire or explosion when in contact with oxygen. 

Other types of industrial cleaning services include passivation, plasma etching or cleaning, and ultrasonic cleaning. Passivation removes “free iron” contamination left behind on stainless steel during machining and fabrication. This industrial cleaning process also facilitates the formation of a transparent oxide film that protects the stainless steel from corrosion. Plasma etching and industrial cleaning services use plasma to remove layers of material for cleaning purposes. Ultrasonic industrial cleaning services use immersion tank in which the cleaning solution is vibrated at ultrasonic frequencies. Transducers are usually immersible or physically coupled in order to transfer their vibratory energy to the cleaning solution. Many other types of industrial cleaning services are also available.

Industrial cleaning services must meet the necessary standards and certifications such as ISO 9001, TS 16949, AS 9000, RoHS, Mil-Spec, or OEM specifications. Additional standards and certifications may also be necessary for industrial cleaning services.
